Clearwei is built around a simple idea: your inner life is yours. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. In short, everything you create in Clearwei stays on your device, and the only time anything leaves it is when you deliberately choose to send it somewhere.
Clearwei is published and operated by Clearwei Ltd, which is the data controller for the purposes of UK data protection law.

Registered in England and Wales, company number 17421981

When you use Clearwei you may create things like mood check-ins, written reflections, saved or liked quotes, folders, quotes you have written yourself, and your preferences. All of this is written to local storage on your device. It never leaves your phone on its own, and we never see it. If you delete the app, or use Delete all my data in the app, that information is permanently removed.
Clearwei never sends your content anywhere by itself. There are three places where you can choose to send something out, and in each case it goes wherever you send it, not to us:
Nothing. Clearwei has no user accounts and no backend of ours, so there is no personal data for us to receive or hold.
Clearwei offers optional in-app purchases (quote packs) and a subscription (Clearwei Plus). Payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details, and we do not know who bought what. The app asks Apple's on-device store service what your Apple Account is entitled to so it can unlock what you have paid for; that check happens on your phone.
If you turn on reminders, they are scheduled and delivered locally by your device. No notification content is sent to us or to any server.
If you add the Clearwei widget, the quote it shows is passed from the app to the widget in a private storage area shared between the two on your own device. Nothing about the widget is transmitted anywhere.
Clearwei can refresh your feed when you shake your phone. That uses your device's motion sensor while the app is open. Nothing from the sensor is recorded, stored, or transmitted, and you can turn the shake gesture off in the app.
Clearwei is deliberately minimal. The only third party involved is Apple, for the App Store, in-app purchases, and delivery of the app itself. Apple's own privacy policy governs those.
The app contains no analytics, advertising, attribution, or social media SDKs, and it makes no network requests carrying your personal information.
Apple provides developers with aggregated, anonymous statistics about App Store performance, along with anonymised crash reports, if you have left those settings enabled on your device. This comes from Apple, not from anything the app sends, and it cannot identify you or show us anything you have written in the app. You can control it in iOS Settings, Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements.
Clearwei provides supportive quotes and space for reflection. It is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a substitute for professional care. The in-app support section links to established helplines. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency services or a helpline directly.
Clearwei is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and as set out above we do not collect personal information from anyone.
Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, correct, and erase personal data a company holds about you. Because Clearwei holds none, there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct, or delete on your behalf. Your data lives only on your device, which means you are always in direct control of it: you can remove all of it at any time using Delete all my data in the app, or by deleting the app.
If you believe we have handled your information improperly, you can contact us at the address above, and you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the new version at this address.
This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
